Work Experience:

Software Developer 2                       Oracle India Pvt Ltd, India       June 2012 – July 2015
   Oracle Public Cloud (OPC)
·         Worked in the Oracle Public Cloud (OPC) infrastructure team. When the customer orders a SaaS cloud service (e.g. JAVA), OPC team is responsible for the successful provisioning of the order. Worked with Service Deployment Infrastructure (SDI) which actually process the request and provision the order.

  •          Created, validated and automated the test environment for provisioning the cloud generic services like “Storage”, ”Business Intelligence” and nimbula services like “Integration”, ”Process”. The automation has helped in identifying 50 + regression bugs.

The metadata of a service to be provisioned is processed and validated against the actual value of the parameter.(e.g.) If the metadata value of the parameter client_url for service Business Intelligence is "http://client-name:7001/analytics", the real value of client_url of the service in Production/Test environment is validated against this metadata URL. Identified 20+ bugs using this validation technique.

The automation has helped in identifying 100+ regression bugs and also helped in increasing the code coverage metric from 58% to 76%. I actively participated in cultural events organized by “Fun@Work ” club in Oracle India Pvt Ltd

Sports & Leadership:

Right from my childhood I like to take up leadership and lead from the front inspiring my team mates. It all started when I was in my high school. I was the School Pupil Leader (SPL) for the year 2007-2008 and I also served as the general secretary of “Science and Humanities” club in the same year. I was the captain of high school Table-Tennis team and I played in district level games winning laurels for my school. During my undergraduate period I was part of the “College Table Tennis” team and represented my College in district level matches. I participate in Table Tennis tournaments representing Oracle India Private Ltd along with my colleagues.

Volunteering  & Service

In my college days I enrolled myself in National Service Scheme (NSS) and had been part of many volunteering activities. Once I got a chance to be part of campaign against “Child-Labor” organized by Children Of The World India . I gave a speech outlining the negative side of child labor. The speech was aired live in a local television channel. As part of NSS program I had visited many old-age homes, orphanages and performed dance shows and mimicry (parody) shows to entertain them. Later I myself volunteered with my friends for these activities.  After entering into corporate life I became member of “Oracle Volunteers Club” and have volunteered in many activities. I readily participate in campaigns against “Child Labor” as I believe that every child born on earth has the “Right to Education”. I am also a member of “Art of Living” foundation. This non-profit organization organizes many socially responsible activities like “Adopting a village”, “Cleaning a public place” etc. I am fortunate enough to be part of these activities. I feel that through these volunteering activities I can give back something to my society.
